Right Decision in Removal Case

A recent court of appeals case, Shulka v. Sikraji, 2014 WI App 113, has been ordered published.

My column in the Wisconsin Law Journal discusses the case which deals with two aspects of the removal law.  First, the requirement that the notice of intent to remove be specific as to the intended location.  Second, the opportunity which the court afforded the mother to change her mind about the removal before granting the father’s motion to change placement.

In both instances, the Wisconsin Court of Appeals made the right decision.  That makes for good law – if a bit boring for a columnist!
