Divorce on Grounds of “Ugly” Baby

This headline looked like it was too much fun to pass up:

Husband Divorces, Sues Wife For Having “Ugly” Baby

Of course, the actual story wasn’t quite as interesting.  According to the article, the reason for the “ugly” baby was that the wife had had substantial plastic surgery.  Of course, the genes she passed along to the baby did not include any of the plastic surgery.

I have no idea how this will play out in China, but in Wisconsin, caveat emptor applies to marriages as well as consumable goods.  So, the message is that you better love what’s on the inside, not just what is on the outside.

Still, it makes a good headline…
